{"id":978,"date":"2019-03-26T12:04:59","date_gmt":"2019-03-26T12:04:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.andorra-advisors.com\/en\/?p=978"},"modified":"2019-03-26T12:04:59","modified_gmt":"2019-03-26T12:04:59","slug":"reform-self-employed-workers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.andorra-advisors.com\/en\/blog\/reform-self-employed-workers\/","title":{"rendered":"Approved reform for self-employed workers to quote according to their income"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the entry into force of the new amendments made to the Law of the Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS),\u00a0<strong>self-employed workers may quote based on their income<\/strong>.\u00a0All this is possible thanks to the approval by the General Council on the reforms of contributions of the self-employed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bill had almost all the favorable votes in the chamber where it was presented.\u00a0However,\u00a0<strong>the counselor V\u00edctor Naudi would have voted against the proposal<\/strong>.\u00a0In spite of this, the reform obtained the necessary support, with which some 6,500 self-employed workers will contribute based on their income, taking into account, in the first place, what they obtained from their activity, and secondly, their turnover.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bill will allow there to now be seven contribution tranches<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the bill presented, from the moment of its validity and with the modification, there\u00a0<strong>will be seven sections in the quotation regime: 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, and now also 62, 5%, 125% and 137.50%.\u00a0<\/strong>On the other hand, as explained by the Minister of Social Affairs, Xavier Espot, a scheme is created for those entrepreneurs under 35 years of age, who can contribute \u20ac 60 monthly for 2 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It must be said that the new 62.5% section will have an impact on the self-employed whose annual income is estimated between \u20ac 12,000 and \u20ac 18,000.\u00a0<strong>Of course, the established business margins must be respected.\u00a0On the other hand, the sections that represent 125 and 137.5%,<\/strong>\u00a0will see increases in the price if they have incomes above \u20ac 40,000 and \u20ac 50,000.\u00a0Likewise, it will apply to those who accrue business figures greater than those established in the margins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is a &#8221;\u00a0<strong>historical claim<\/strong>\u00a0&#8221; that is based on &#8221;\u00a0<strong>the criteria of sustainability of the social security system<\/strong>\u00a0&#8221; according to the statements of Minister Espot.\u00a0In spite of this, the counselor V\u00edctor Naudi considered the reform of the law as a &#8220;heavy proposal&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although this reform does not solve the problems that the self-employed face,\u00a0<strong>it is a good step forward at an appropriate time<\/strong>.\u00a0In addition, this will reduce the legislative deficit, explained the president of the liberal group, Jordi Gallardo.\u00a0Finally, this reform provides for new rights for the self-employed, especially in situations of disability due to non-work accidents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the entry into force of the new amendments made to the Law of the Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS),\u00a0self-employed workers may quote based on their income.\u00a0All this is possible thanks to the approval by the General Council on the reforms of contributions of the self-employed.
